Ashley Lusk and David Allen, both of Washington D.C., were married on May 19 at Meridian Hill Park in Washington D.C. Brother of the bride Jesse Duncan of Kernersville, N.C., performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Marvin and Deloma Lusk of Collinsville. She is the granddaughter of Paula Wilson of Collinsville, Ann Lusk of Martinsville and the late Charlie Lusk and Tom Bloss.

The bridegroom is the son of George and Margaret Osipovs of Virginia Beach. He is the grandson of Leslie and Rosa Lee Highsmith of Norfolk and the late Lawrence and Wilma Allen.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a gown with a sweetheart neckline with a blue sash and a vintage broach and a veil handmade by her mother.

Maid of honor was Lauren Maguire of Alexandria.

Bridesmaids were Maggie Lenart of Alexandria, Julianne Stirrup of Richmond and Justin Dalbo of New York City.

Best man was Alex Waldie of Raleigh, N.C.

Groomsmen were David Dailey of Washington D.C., Chris Evans of Harrisonburg and John White of Honolulu.

A reception was held at The L’Angle Mansion in Washington, D.C.

The couple took a honeymoon in Paris.

They live in Washington D.C.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School, a 2006 graduate of James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a 2008 graduate of Clemson University with a master’s degree in professional communication. She is the manager of Digital Communication for American Education Research Association.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Hickory High School in Chesapeake and a 2007 graduate of James Madison University with a bachelor’s in political science. He is a 2013 candidate for graduation from Georgetown University with a master’s in public policy (MPP). He is a policy analyst for Systems Planning and Analysis.

Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored with a bridal shower in April in Woodbridge, hosted by Lauren Maguire.
