Italian Herb Bread

  • 3â�„4 cup warm (not hot) water
  • 2 tsp. softened butter
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 heaping TBS sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1â�„2 tsp. rosemary
  • 1â�„2 tsp. basil leaves
  • 1â�„2 tsp. thyme
  • 21â�„2 tsp. of active dry yeast
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, add ingredients in the order listed. Stir until dough ball forms, then knead by hand until dough feels uniform. Cover bowl with a dish cloth, set in a warm place and allow it to rise for about an hour. Punch dough down, knead briefly and allow to rise for another 45 minutes. Transfer dough to a greased loaf pan and bake at 450 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Drizzle with a mixture of olive oil, shredded Parmesan and herbs.
