  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 prepared graham cracker crust
  • 10 TBS sugar
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
In a saucepan over medium heat, mix together the 1 1/4 cups sugar, flour, cocoa, egg yolks, evaporated milk, butter and vanilla; stir continuously until thickened. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the egg whites, slowly adding the remaining sugar; mix until fluffy. Spread the meringue on the pie and bake for 10 minutes or until the meringue begins to brown.
