DUTCH APPLE CRISP

1 (20 ounce) can sliced apples or apple pie filling
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 stick butter, sliced
Spread apples in a greased baking dish.
Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in bowl and mix well. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees or until topping is slightly crusty and golden brown.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
