  • 2 sticks butter (softened)
  • 3â�„4 cup sugar
  • 3â�„4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 21â�„4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1â�„2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1â�„2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
In a large mixing bowl, mix butter, sugars and vanilla together with an electric blender until well blended and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix dry ingredients into sugar mixture. Fold in morsels and nuts. Spoon batter onto the pan an inch apart.
Bake 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
