BLACKBERRY CRISP

Ingredients:
  • 2 or 3 cups blackberries
  • 2 or 3 TBS sugar
  • Topping:
  • 1 stick butter, softened but not melted
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Cinnamon and nutmeg, to taste
Fill a 6- or 8-inch baking dish about half full of berries, sprinkling some sugar on them and make sure the bottom of the dish has a thin layer of water on it. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Get the topping mixture crumbly and sprinkle it on the top of the berries. Bake it for about an hour, or until the crumble is brown.
