  • 1 1/2 lb. dried apples
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. apple pie spice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 recipe biscuit dough
  • Canola oil for frying
Mix apples, sugar and spices together.
Separate dough into pieces suitable for biscuits. Roll out each piece into a circle. Place a spoonful of apple mixture on the center of each circle. Fold circle in half over dough. Crimp closed with fork tines.
Pour about 1 inch canola oil into pan and heat. Fry four pies at a time in canola oil until each side is golden brown.
