Yellow Cake

Ingredients:
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream the butter, eggs and sugar in a bowl. Add flour alternating with buttermilk. Blend well.
In a small bowl, combine soda and vinegar. Stir well, then pour into the cake batter. Blend and add vanilla. Bake in 9- by13-inch greased and floured cake pan for 30 minutes.
Top with strawberries or desired fruit and cream.
