PINTO BEANS WITH HOG JOWLS

Ingredients:
  • 1 (2 lb.) bag dried pinto beans
  • 3 hog jowls
Rinse beans in cold water and let soak over night. The next day, prepare hog jowls by removing from package, rinsing and boiling in seven cups cold water. Add beans. Boil for two hours. Add seasonings such as salt and pepper or cajun spices to taste. Continue adding water as needed. Let cook another hour, until meat is tender.
