Pasta with Parmesan sauce
Pasta

Ingredients:
  • Sauce:
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 or 2 slices of bacon
  • 1?4 cup butter
  • 1 TBS olive oil
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. peppercorns
  • Pasta:
  • Water
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 1 box spaghetti or penne pasta
Make the sauce: Chop the onion and the bacon. In a pot, add the butter, olive oil, onion and bacon. Cook until the onion is saute├ęd. Add the cream, Parmesan cheese and black peppercorns. Blend with a handheld blender or in a blender until mixture is smooth. Let the mixture boil for about 10 minutes.
Make the pasta: In a big pot, add water, salt, garlic clove, bay leaf and olive oil. Bring to a boil and add pasta. When pasta is done, drain and take away the bay leaf and garlic clove.
Pour sauce over pasta. Serve warm. If desired, cook some bacon to add on top of pasta.
