Baked Bean Casserole

  • 1 lb. extra lean ground beef
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 TBS mustard
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 bacon strips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown beef with bell pepper and onion. Drain off fat.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, except bacon. Spray a 9- by 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Top casserole with bacon slices. Bake for one hour.
