CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE

Ingredients:
  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) block cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour tube pan.
Cream margarine and cream cheese. Add sugar gradually. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Stir in flour and salt. Add flavorings and mix until blended. Pour into tube pan. Bake for 1 hour 40 minutes.
Variations: May add 1 cup coconut or 1 cup chopped walnuts.
