Baked Spaghetti

  • 1 (16 ounce) box spaghetti
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 lb. ground beef (93 percent lean)
  • 1 bag turkey pepperoni
  • 1 large jar Prego traditional sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Mexican four-cheese blend
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook spaghetti as directed, drain and set aside.
Chop onion and peppers. Into frying pan, put ground beef, 2/3 cup onion, 2/3 cup red peppers and 2/3 cup green peppers. Reserve 1/3 cup of each vegetable for later. Chop a few slices of turkey pepperoni and add it. Cook until ground beef is done. Drain grease if any.
In a large pot, mix spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, salt and pepper to taste and meat mixture. Stir.
Pour into a 9- by 13-inch baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake 25 minutes. Remove from oven.
Spread cheese over top of it and 1/3 cup each of onion, red peppers and green peppers. Top with 12 pepperoni slices. Bake another 25 minutes.
