Aunt Mary’s Chocolate Chess Pie

  • 3 squares bitter chocolate
  • 4 TBS margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups plus 1 tsp. sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 3â�„4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 deep dish 9-inch pie shell
Melt chocolate and margarine in a glass bowl in microwave. Cool thoroughly. Add vanilla, sugar, eggs and milk to chocolate mixture. Stir well.
Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until pie is firm in middle. Two pies take closer to 45 minutes to bake.
