  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • Cinnamon
  • Maraschino cherries (optional)
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Tear bread into pieces and mix bread pieces, condensed milk, pineapple and eggs and by hand into the butter and sugar. Pour into an ungreased baking dish, sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with cherries if desired. Bake uncovered for one hour. May be served hot as an appetizer or cold with whipped topping as a dessert.
