  • 1 turkey
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • salt
  • 3 or 4 onions
  • 4 or 5 stalks celery
Thaw turkey in refrigerator. Melt butter and add poultry seasoning. Rub turkey with mixture, then salt turkey to taste.
Slice onions thick. Lay onion slices and celery stalks on bottom of pot, then add 11�2 to 2 inches water. Lay turkey on top. Cook at 350 degrees for 31�2 to 4 hours. Thermometer stuck into turkey should read 180 degrees. Do not overcook.
