FRESH TOMATO SAUCE

Ingredients:
  • 10-12 medium Roma tomatoes
  • 6-8 leaves basil, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
Peel and chop tomatoes. Place tomatoes in large pot and pour in water halfway up to the level of tomatoes. Add basil and salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer. Occasionally stir and mash tomatoes. Allow to simmer from 30 minutes to all day long. Serve over pasta.
