MAMA'S CORN BREAD
Breads

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups self-rising corn meal
  • 1 large egg
  • 1â�„4 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 11â�„2-2 cups buttermilk
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place a small cast iron skillet in oven to heat to temperature. Mix all ingredients well. Add enough buttermilk until the mixture is soupy. Pour into greased skillet and bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
