Circuit Court

  • Anthony Lee Coverdale, Collinsville, was charged with possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possess heroin, possess a firearm with a scheduled I drug, possess a firearm with a schedule II drug, conspiracy to distribute, possess drug paraphernalia, possess a firearm by a violent felon on or about April 29, 2019. Charges dismissed on Nov. 15.
  • Mollie Irene McGuire, Roanoke, was charged with grand larceny (accessory before) on or about April 13. Charge dismissed on Nov. 15.
  • Tavian Shakor Manns, Martinsville, was charged with perjury: falsely swear an oath (solicitation), violation of protective order on or about Jan. 21, 2020. He was sentenced to seven years in prison with six years and nine months suspended and ordered to pay $680 in court costs on Nov. 8.

Martinsville General District CourtDonte Cheron Freeman, Ridgeway, was charged with malicious assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery, possession of a gun by a nonviolent felon, two charges of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony—first offense, shooting in a public place causing injury on or about Nov. 7. Charges dismissed on Nov. 12.
