Monogram Snacks officials shut down their plant in Henry County and tested every single employee for COVID-19, they said. This action followed complaints filed by the families of some employees concerned about conditions. We also have the story about one family in Henry County in which four people have had the coronavirus and endured. Different statistical reporting by the Virginia Department of Health left the West Piedmont Health District with more than 300 new interactions with the public. There were 11 more cases announced by the district today. Henry County finished May with more than 100 cases after starting the month with only 16. The Virginia Department of Health reports  this morning there are 44,607 cases and 1,375 deaths statewide. Some 4,643 people have been hospitalized. Henry County's number of positive cases increased to 113, with 9 hospitalized and 3 deaths. Martinsville has 31 cases, 6 hospitalized and 1 death. Patrick County now has 19 cases. Franklin County's total is at 36, with 4 hospitalized and 1 death. Danville now has 55 cases, and Pittsylvania County now has 44. Johns Hopkins University's real-time map showed 6,083,633 cases worldwide and 369,953 deaths. In the U.S. there are 1,779,853 cases. The Worldmeters coronavirus update -- which always trends a little higher -- shows the death count in the U.S. at 105,926.
