About 1,500 people attended the grand opening celebration of New South Metals Saturday, with the earliest having arrived at around 6 a.m. The special guest was Steven Ray Tickle, a star of the "Moonshiners" TV show. Tickle and his entourage sold merchandise with proceeds going to the recovery of Josh Owens. The event featured barbecue meal and hourly giveaways. New South Metals is at 6771 A.L.
