All bundled up in her coat, little Madelyn had bright eyes and an impish smile. She looked content with the world and her place in it, and with the people around her.

“Meow,” she said, eyes twinkling.

 If you think this column is going to be complaining about being squeezed into a crowded airplane, though, you’re wrong. That theme is so 2017. Airlines have found something even worse than that – the ticketing process.

In my mind, my response was “Hey, this is my %$#@ing truck and I can drive it around with a crack in the windshield or set it on fire if I want to." What I usually said was, “I’ve been meaning to do that, honey.”
