ASHBURN — Reporting on DeSean Jackson’s demise has been a growth industry over the last five years, as every injury or dip in production has brought with it a prediction that Jackson’s best days are behind him.
Each time, though, Jackson has found a way to spin the narrative with a game-changing catch.
The star receiver turned 30 last week, sandwiching a lavish birthday party between strong outings against the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals.
“I feel like I’m 20,” Jackson said. “Still feel fast and young. It’s just a number, honestly. This game we play, I guess when you get to that age they start to think you’re getting slower, getting older. As long as I can continue to go out there and keep lighting the scoreboard up, and scoring and having fun, that’s all that really matters.”
